4+ suppliers
L(+) tartaric acid, a sharp tasting acid used in sugar boiled sweets, jellies, tamarind style candies, beverages and grape flavoured products, and as the acid part of some baking powders. FSSAI Appendix A sets category-wise limits for the tartrates group, so the permitted dose depends on the food; it is also one of the acidulants allowed in the FSSAI baking powder standard.
