Very mild, coconut-derived anionic surfactant that gives a dense, creamy lather. The base of syndet bars and shampoo bars (30 to 70%) and used at 5 to 15% in sulphate-free face washes, body washes and baby cleansers. Supplied at about 85% active as fine powder, noodles or granules; needs warming to dissolve.
