Ready-to-use liquid preservative, usually 90 parts phenoxyethanol to 10 parts ethylhexylglycerin, which boosts activity against bacteria, yeast and mould. Used at 0.5 to 1% (up to 1.1%) in creams, lotions, shampoos, gels and wipes, added below 50 C; phenoxyethanol stays within the 1% limit of BIS IS 4707 (Part 2) and EU.
