Neotame (INS 961)
5+ suppliersAspartame derived sweetener roughly 7000 to 13000 times sweeter than sugar, so tiny amounts are dosed, usually after pre-blending with a carrier. Used in beverages, dairy, bakery and table top blends. FSSAI permits it with food-wise limits in Appendix A (for example 33 ppm in carbonated water); labels must declare the artificial sweetener.
