5+ suppliersSugar alcohol about 90% as sweet as sugar with similar taste and bulk, sold as crystalline powder and as maltitol syrup. Used in sugar free chocolate, hard candy, bakery, ice cream and jams. FSSAI permits maltitol and maltitol syrup at GMP in bakery, ice cream, frozen desserts, jams and jellies; foods with high polyol content need the laxative effect statement.
