Isopropyl myristate (IPM)

Light, fast-absorbing ester emollient that reduces greasiness in creams, lotions, hair oils and body oils and acts as a carrier and penetration aid. Also used to thin oil blends and dissolve actives. Typical use is 2 to 10% in emulsions and higher in oil blends; can be comedogenic at high levels on the face.
