Ready self-emulsifying wax blend of cetearyl alcohol with an emulsifier, so one ingredient makes a stable oil-in-water cream or lotion. The common NF type uses polysorbate 60 (non-ionic); the BP/IP type uses sodium lauryl sulphate (anionic). Typical use is 3 to 8% of the formula, melted into the oil phase.
