Mild amphoteric surfactant made from coconut or palm fatty acids, used as a co-surfactant with SLES or sulphate-free bases to boost foam, build viscosity and cut irritation. Common in shampoos, face washes, baby washes and hand washes at 2 to 10% of the formula. Supplied as a roughly 30% active liquid.
