Cross-linked polyacrylic acid powder that forms clear gels once dispersed in water and neutralised with triethanolamine or sodium hydroxide. Used for hand sanitiser gels, aloe and face gels, hair gels and to thicken and stabilise lotions and creams. Typical use is 0.2 to 1%; 940 and 980 give high viscosity and sparkling clarity.
