Flour ground from dehusked split Bengal gram (chana dal), with no added colour. The core input for sev, bhujia, gathiya, pakora batter, dhokla, kadhi and mithai such as ladoo, boondi and Mysore pak; snack makers use fine grades, sweet makers often coarse.
